Navigating the New Consumer Trace Updates
Navigating the New Consumer Trace Updates
As part of our ongoing platform enhancements, we're excited to introduce updates to our Consumer Trace service. Here's everything you need to know to make the most of it:
1. What’s New with Consumer Trace?
Our Consumer Trace service now offers you comprehensive consumer data on demand, allowing you to search for existing contacts by name or ID number.
Key Features:
- Full Name and Surname
- Date of Birth
- Last Known Address
- Contact Numbers
- Employer Information
- Deceased Status (if applicable)
2. How to Use Consumer Trace
Step 1: Go to the Consumer Trace section on the home page of AkibaOne.
Step 2: Search for an individual by their name or South African ID number.
Step 3: The system will provide you with a comprehensive report based on the data available.
3. Costs Involved
Each consumer trace costs 18 credits per search. Please ensure that you have sufficient credits before running a trace.
4. Recent Searches
We’ve also introduced a Recent Searches feature, where you can easily view past searches, such as:
- 9211040142181
- Gugu
You can quickly revisit past searches, saving time in case you need to retrieve details again.
5. Saving Information
After you run a trace, you’ll have the option to save the information to your contact list. This is useful for future reference and ensures you don’t have to repeat the search.
Important Note:
- If you don’t save the information, you’ll be charged again for any future searches on the same individual. So, remember to save the details if you want to avoid extra costs.
6. Important Considerations
- The Consumer Trace service is only available for individuals with a South African ID number.
- Make sure you review the details provided and save them if necessary to avoid repeated charges.
